Getting Ready for CAT 2023: What You Need to Know
Every year, over 200,000 students gear up for the CAT exam, a big deal in the world of management studies. This year, the CAT 2023 exam, hosted by the Indian Institute of Management in Lucknow, is set for Sunday, November 26, 2023. Students from 150 cities across India will be taking this test at specific centers. But before you jump in, there are some crucial things to keep in mind.
Dress Code and Essentials
The CAT 2023 exam is all digital, so first things first: you need your CAT 2023 admit card. Get it from the official website using your login details. On exam day, don’t forget to carry this card—it’s your golden ticket.
Besides the admit card, you’ll need a valid photo ID (think Aadhar card, Voter ID, Driver’s License, Passport, or any government-issued ID with your photo and signature) and any necessary documents for special assistance or name changes.
What Not to Bring
Hold up! There’s a list of no-nos: leave your phones, gadgets, calculators, watches, and even those pouches full of pens and pencils at home. These items aren’t welcome in the exam hall.
Dress Code Rules
The dress code isn’t too fancy: keep it simple. No jewelry—sorry, ladies! That means no necklaces, earrings, bracelets, or rings. Also, skip shoes with thick soles, caps, jackets, and clothing with big pockets or metal bits. And if you have metal implants or a pacemaker, bring the right medical certificates.
Exam Day Tips
Arrive early to the exam venue, mark your attendance, and follow the instructions on-screen. Don’t even think about taking a break unless it’s an emergency—nope, not even for a quick snack!
And once you’re done, hand over your signed Admit Card to the invigilator.
