India responded strongly to Pakistan’s mention of Kashmir during a United Nations Security Council meeting on the Israel-Gaza situation. India’s representative at the UN, Ambassador R Ravindra, dismissed Pakistan’s reference to Kashmir, calling it a routine habit and chose not to respond to it further.
In the same meeting, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken emphasized that all forms of terrorism, whether perpetrated by groups like Lashkar-e-Taiba or Hamas, are unacceptable. He stressed the right of nations to protect their citizens from such atrocities and urged the Security Council to condemn any country that supports terrorist organizations like Hamas.
Blinken appeared to be referring to the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks, conducted by the Pakistani group Lashkar-e-Taiba.
